Obituaries.

Grandma Kerr, died at the home of her grandson, William Davidson, January 18, 1896, at the age of eighty-one years, six months and two days. She was born in Washington county, Pennsylvania, in 1814 and came with her husband to Iowa in 1853. She was one of the pioneer settlers of the state. In 1856 she united with the Christian church and died triumphant in the faith. She was married to Arthur Kerr in 1833. Nine children were born to them, six sons and three daughters. Five of them are living and left without parents, as her husband died fourteen years ago. Grandma is gone but not forgotten. She loved home; she was a kind mother and made home pleasant. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. The funeral services took place in the M. E. church at Liberty on the 19th inst., conducted by Rev. J. A. Morris after which the remains were laid to rest beside her husband in the Liberty cemetery.

Note: The obituary states Hannah was born in 1814 and the headstone, 1815.
