MARVIN M. ULLOM IS SUMMONED BY DEATH
Pioneer Resident of Community Died Tuesday of Last Week
Funeral held Friday.

Marvin M. Ullom, a resident of this community nearly all his life, died at his home northeast of Nashua Tuesday night of last week. He was 74 years of age. He had been in poor health for some time, and had been confined to his bed for ten days prior to his death.
Born at Cadiz, Wis., May 30, 1859, he came to Nashua in 1870. With the exception of two years spent at Bellingham, Wash., and in Dakota, and one year in Wisconsin, he spent the remainder of his life in this community. When he made the return trip from Washington, accompanied by his sons, it was made as far as Webster, S. D., in a covered wagon, and from there by rail.
On Feb. 23, 1880, he was married to Miss Ella Felcher at Chas. City, who with the following children survive: Mrs. L. S. Cagley, Sunnyside, Wash.; Charles of Clear Lake; Mrs. Frank Hopner, Allison; John, Nashua; and a grandson, Forrest Hall, who they reared from infancy, and who is now at Oak Dale; also two brothers, Elisha of Nashua and J. B. Ullom of Flandreau, S. D. Two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Callahan, and Mrs. Olive Hall, preceded him.
Funeral services were held at the Nashua Methodist church at 2:30 p. m., Friday, Rev. Roy Stearn of the Brethren church, of Fredericksburg officiating, and interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
