Thos. Thayer, Former Bradfordlite Dies at Redwing, Minn., Dec. 27.
The following item from a Minneapolis paper of Dec 28, will be of interest to the older residents of this community, who will remember the Thayer family, pioneers of Bradford:
Red Wing, Minn., Dec. 27—Ending a 58-year-old career as an employe of the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul railroad, Thomas A. Thayer, 75, freight and passenger agent died at Red Wing Thursday. At the age of 18 Thayer started work with the Milwaukee road as a coal shoveler at Hastings. Here he learned telegraphy and his first job as keyman was at Winona. Later he was transferred to Lake City and then to Stillwater as agent. He then became agent at Shakopee and 38 years ago came to Red Wing to assume a like position. We was born at Nashua, Iowa, August 1, 1859.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he died Dec. 27, 1934. He is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing, MN.
