—Mrs. Wm. O’Rourke, living near Lawler, was operated upon for appendicitis. “The operation was successful" (as usual) but “the poor woman died" (as usual.)

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Ellen who was born Feb. 2, 1847 and died June 29, 1899. She is buried in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
