Norbert J. Rupp, 73, of Cherokee died Tuesday in Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital in Cherokee after long illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Rupp was born April 11, 1910, at Maryhill. He married Avis Peck Feb 21, 1933 at Maryhill. They farmed in Cherokee County for many years and also owned the Hillside Apartments. They retired to West Lake Okoboji in 1968 and returned to Cherokee in September of 1983.

Survivors include his wife; six brothers, Raymond, Sylvester and Ralph, all of Cherokee; the Rev. Urban of Dayton, Ohio, Lawrence of Marcus and Floyd of Quimby; four sisters, Mrs. Max (Florence) Seely of Spirit Lake, Sister M. Christina, OSM and Sister M. Catherine, OSM, both of Omaha and Mrs. Randy (Monica) Sawyers of Council Bluffs.
