Robert Lee Hall, 71, of Mason City, died Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City; with Pastor Paul Brown officiating, and military honors provided by Mason City Veterans. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at the funeral home in Mason City.

Family suggests memorial contributions to the Robert Hall Memorial Fund.

Robert was born Aug. 28, 1944, the son of Paul and Lois (Weaverling) Hall in Mason City. He married Janice Kay Dralla on July 11, 1965, in Kensett.

Robert attended grade school in Grafton and high school at Northwood-Kensett High School. He was a United States Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War for two years in Germany. He worked several different jobs throughout his life; most recently at Fieldstone Cabinet in Northwood until his eyesight failed and then Pizza Hut in Mason City.

Robert enjoyed working on his car, camping, and watching NASCAR and country westerns on television. He also liked listening to his cassette player, playing cards with family, and playing in the Blind Tee Golf Tournament for veterans. He was always working on projects and keeping busy.

Robert is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janice Hall of Mason City; three children, Roger (Ginny) Hall of Ankeny, Brenda (Fred) Olson of Mason City, and Kayleen (Ron) Moklestad of Mason City; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Hall of Ankeny, Ryan Hall of Ankeny, Annalisa Sampson of Mason City, Kianna Sampson of Mason City, and Rachel Barnish of Mason City; a great-grandson, Nikko Barnish; two brothers, John Hall of Lisbon and Jerry (Barb) Hall of Cedar Rapids; a half-sister, Pat Thompson of Mason City; three sisters-in-law, Corie (Richard) Rieman of Mason City, Christina (Howard) Shepard of Leland, IA, and Ginger (Travis) Holtz of Polk City, IA; three brothers-in-law, Curtiss (Terri) Dralla of Rogers, NE, Carl Dralla of Northwood and Denny (Carol Olson) Buckman; several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Thanks to a kidney transplant on Jan. 4, 2014, Robert's family was able to enjoy a couple more years with him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lois; parents-in-law, Lloyd and Virginia Dralla; three sisters-in-law, Betty Hall, Marian Montgomery, and Connie Buckman; two brothers-in-law, Perry Montgomery and Lloyd Dralla, Jr.; a half brother-in-law, Marvin Thompson; and a very special nephew, Jacob Dralla.
