In Response To: family names (Patsy Gruemmer Mullican)

Hugh and Ann Honey immigrated to the U.S. aboard the ship "Catharine," arriving on 8 Oct. 1840 at the port of New York. With them, they had their infant son, Hugh Honey, who had been born in the London borough of Islington in Jan. 1840. The family settled in New York City, where Hugh became an American citizen in 1849. He and his wife also had a daughter Mary Melissa Honey (1848-1921). The son Hugh (1840-1922) settled in Cedar County, Iowa. He was married to Margaret Toole, and they had 6 children: Mary "Mayme" Honey (1864-1942), Anna T. "Annie" (Honey) Pendergast (1867-1955), Elizabeth A. "Bessie" (Honey) Staggs (1869-1960), Zetta Catharine (Honey) Briggle (1871-1952), Hugh Bernard Honey (1873-1955), and Margaret J. "Maggie" (Honey) White (1876-1944).
