Last rites for Mrs. Walter (Oma) Guttenfelder, 83, were held at Durant May 7 with the Rev. L. Jack Ehlers officiating. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Walker Sr., Edwin Holst, Harlan Bland, Orville Valett and Hilbert and Dale Ovesen.

Mrs. Guttenfelder died in Edinberg, Texas, May 2.

The daughter of Ira and Estella Willison Ruggles, she was born in Anita April 15, 1901. She was married to Walter Guttenfelder in Atlantic Aug. 23, 1919. He died in 1979.

Mr. and Mrs. Guttenfelder operated Walt's Highway Stop in Durant from 1938 to 1951.

She is survived by 2 sons, Don, Durant and Ray, Fort Worth, Texas; 2 daughters, Mrs. Hershel (Bernadine) Fitzer, Durant and Mrs. Shirley Hearne, Edinburg, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
