Funeral services for Roy Glick, 84, retired Tipton florist, were held Aug. 1 at the First Methodist church with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. James Cary, Maurice Walton, Kenneth Fankhauser, Carl Frederick, Earl Eggert and Clare Hill were pallbearers.

Mrs. Richard Palmer was vocalist and Mrs. Richard Hancock, organist. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hartig and Mr. and Mrs. Milo Agne were in charge of flowers.

Burial was in the Tipton cemetery where graveside services were conducted by the Tipton Masonic lodge. William Shrope gave the address.

Mr. Glick died July 29 at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids following a long illness.

The son of Alphonso J. and Margaret McCokie Glick, he was born Feb. 7, 1881, in Beatrice, Nebr., and attended the rural Beatrice schools. He was married to Edith Soll at Cedar Rapids Aug. 8, 1907.

Mr. and Mrs. Glick farmed for several years in the Tipton area. He was especially interested in the breeding of draft horses.

He operated the Glick Greenhouse in Tipton for many years. Since retiring as a florist in 1946, he had assisted his son, Oscar, on the farm west of Tipton.

Mr. and Mrs. Glick celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary in 1957.

He was a member of the Masonic lodge, the Order of Eastern Star, the Odd Fellows and the First Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Oscar L., Solon; 2 grandchildren, Sandra and Larry; 2 sisters, Mrs. Will (Bertha) Aldrich, Florida City, Fla.; and Mrs. Walter (Mabelle) Mott, Corona, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
