Oliver F. King, 79, of West Branch, a resident of the West Branch area most of his life, died suddenly July 29 at his home in West Branch. He had been ill for a brief period.
Funeral services were Aug. 1 at West Branch with the Rev. James Thompson of the West Branch Friends church officiating. Burial was in the Morse cemetery.
Mr. King was born Aug. 29, 1885, at Simms, Ill., and moved to West Branch as a young man. He had been employed as a cattle buyer. He was married to Mary Withrow Sept. 28, 1905.
Surviving are 3 sons, Leonard, West Branch; Dale, Downey, Calif., and William, Los Angeles, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Irma Richardson, Fairfield, Ill; one sister, Mrs. Levi Pennington, Mechanicsville; and several grandchildren.
His wife preceded him in death in 1964.
