2 August 1917 - West Branch Times

Mr. Annanias Yetter was born in Monroe Co. Pennsylvania May 30, 1848, and died at the hospital in Iowa City, where he had been taken for operation, July 27, 1917, sixty-nine years, one month and twenty-seven days of age.

At the age of eight years he came with his parents to Cedar Co. Iowa, locating on a farm near Plato, where he resided during his boyhood, and later made it his home until five years ago, when he with his family removed to West Liberty where he has since resided.

On April 24th, 1869 Mr. Yetter and Jane Wright were married and to this union four children were born: Mrs. Maudana Matoush of Cedar Rapids, Theodore of West Branch, Mrs. Anna Adams of West Liberty and Mrs. Lillie Catherine Marks of West Branch.

For two years, though in failing health he was patient and gentle. The wife, children and grandchildren are left to mourn the loss of a kind and indulgent helper. The children were all present at his bedside at the time of his death except Mrs. Matoush, who was unable to be present on account of sickness.

The funeral service was held at the family residence in West Liberty at nine o'clock Sabbath morning. It was conducted by Rev. Laura Townsend assisted by the pastor of the Presbyterian church of West Liberty. The interment was in the cemetery at West Branch.
