Mrs. Mae Aldeman, a long time resident of this community, died at her home on West Main street Tuesday morning, after a lingering illness of several months. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. I. A. Bartholomew, will be held from the house this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, with interment in Brick Chapel Cemetery. Obituary next week.

The death of Mrs. Aldeman, mother of Ray Aldeman of this place, occurred at her home at West Branch Tuesday after a lingering illness of several months. Ray has been assisting in her care for several weeks.

Marion Helen Lincoln was born in Chatauqua Co., New York, June 20th, 1849. Her girlhood days were spent in Pennsylvania coming with her parents to Johnson Co., Iowa in early womanhood. She was a student in the S.U. I, under Prof Currier. Miss Lincoln was united in marriage to Pardon A. Aldeman Sept. 3, 1867. They made their home on a farm in Johnson Co. and there their children were born: Jessie I, Sylvia Minnie and Raymond Pardon. The daughter passed away nearly 20 years ago. About 12 years ago Mr. and Mrs. Aldeman left the farm coming to this place that they might enjoy rest and comfort. Her husband was called home May, 1911, and Mrs. Aldeman died Tuesday morning, April 24th at her home in West Branch, Iowa. She leaves to mourn her loss the two sons with their wives and eight grand children also a brother, P. B. Lincoln of Enid, Okla., one sister, Mrs. Geo. Hitchcock of Iowa City, a sister-in-law, Mrs. W. G. Holmes of Tula, Texas and other relatives and friends.

The funeral was held on Thursday, April 26 at 1:30 at the home on West Main street here in town and was conducted by Rev. I. A. Bartholomew of the M.E. Church of West Branch assisted by Rev. Reese of the Friends church of Springdale. A quartette composed of Mrs. Gerlits, Grace Endsley, Harold Yetter and W. C. Bell sang some appropriate selections. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. The interment was made at the Brick Chapel cemetery.
