Frank M. Hogan, son of H. N. and Ida Alice Hogan, was born March 21, 1880, in Warren county, Illinois, and died June 4, 1930, age 50 years, 2 months and 13 days.

He lived in Illinois until he was 16, when he moved with his mother to a farm three miles south of Downey. He lived there until 10 years ago, when he moved to Downey, making a home with his sisters, Emma and Eva.

On the 20th of last December, he suffered a stroke of paralysis and had been a patient sufferer ever since.

He leaves to mourn his loss four sisters and four brothers: Mrs. J. D. Hogan of Iowa City; Misses Emma and Eva at home, Mrs. H. D. Wallace of Galesburg, Ill.; Harmon of Davenport; Will of Kansas City; Edgar of Epworth and Ralph of Downey.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist church at Downey at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. H. D. Green of West Branch. Burial was made in the Downey cemetery.
