Exira People Attend
Thielen-Wieland Wedding

At St. Joseph's Catholic church,
Carroll, on Tuesday of last week,
Frank J. Thielen of Brayton, son
of Mr. and Mrs. William Thielen of
Atlantic, and Miss Anna Wieland,
daughter of James Wieland and
wife of Carroll, were united in mar-
riage. In the presence of about
sixty guests, the relatives and close
friends of the contracting parties,
the Rev. Father Butler of the par-
ish said the beautiful and impres-
sive nuptial mass which made the
young couple man and wife. They
were attended by William Thielen,
Jr., brother of the groom, as best
man, and Miss Mary Wieland, twin
sister of the bride as bridesmaid.

After the wedding ceremony the
guests and (missing text)
parents, two and a half miles from
Carroll, where a sumptuous wed-
ding breakfast was served. Later
in the day a wedding dinner was
also served there. The young
folks have taken up their residence
on the groom's farm near Brayton.

Among the guests from outside
Carroll were Herbert Thielen and
wife, George Wieland and wife and
Jake Leins and wife, all of Exira;
Dr. and Mrs. Thielen of Grundy
Center and Peter Thielen and wife.
