My maternal grandmother was Lottie (Charlotte?) Edgeton Balfour. She was born in 1870, married in 1892 to John Lyons Balfour.She died in 1897 and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery. I knew her brother William, as he was my mother;s only Uncle Will. Somehow they ended up in Illinois( my mother, Edna Adelia Balfour Christian. and William Edgeton, her uncle. I know that Lottie was raised by relatives after her mother died. One of her cousins was Alice Edgeton Shaffer. I met her once in Brandon, Iowa. I also recall the Nabholz name, but don't know the relationship.
