Duane T. Hull, 82 of Waterloo, Iowa, died Friday, March 16, 2018 at NorthCrest Specialty Care.

He was born March 23, 1935 in Waterloo, Iowa, son of Thuel and Joy Doolittle Hull. He married Mary Biller on May 30, 1956, in Waterloo. She died July 26, 2005. He married Kathleen French Whetstone March 10, 2011 in Stuart, Iowa.

Duane graduated from Waterloo East High School and farmed in Waterloo.

Survived by: his wife of Stuart; a son, Brian (Tara) Hull of Waterloo; three daughters, Linda (Steve) Wittenburg of Denver, Iowa, Kayleen (Eric) Symmonds of Waverly and Lisa Gosden of Urbandale; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joan Rogers of Cedar Falls, and Janice (Eric) Nordman of Waterloo; one brother, Marlyn (Janie) Hull of Waterloo; four step children, Karen (Andy) Hansen, Brian (Jeri) Christensen, Craig (Meribah) Christensen and Eldon (Adrienne) Whetstone; 15 step-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: his first wife, Mary; son-in-law, Brian Gosden; a brother-in-law, Earl Rogers.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 22 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, and for one hour before services at the church on Thursday.

Memorials: in lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church.
