Marjorie Patterson, 88, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, March 15, at Crestview Acres, Marion.

She was born July 25, 1929 in Morrison, daughter of Arthur and Sophie Bulthuis Collings. She married William Patterson on August 15, 1949 in Morrison. He died July 9, 2008.

Marjorie graduated from Reinbeck High School and attended Gates Business College. She was employed with the Black Hawk County Recorder’s Office for 20 years.

Survivors include: two sons, Greg Patterson of Waterloo and Jeff (Pam) Patterson of St. Paul, Minnesota; four grandchildren, Matthew Patterson of Burnsville, Minnesota, Mitchell Patterson of Lakeville, Minnesota, Melanie (Scott) Klein of Eagan, Minnesota and Jessa (Tim) Edson of Waterloo; a great granddaughter, Charlotte Patterson of Lakeville, Minnesota; and a sister, Vera (Otis) Boyd of Davenport.

Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; a brother, Arthur Collings; and three sisters, Ruth Chamberlain, Dorothy Haan and Mildred Hayes

A memorial visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 24, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway. Inurnment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
