I discovered that my 2nd great grandfather David Wright entered the Neb 2nd Scout troops on 20 Nov 1862. He served for 9 months. This unit's job was to keep the citizens of Nebraska and Minnesota safe from the Indians. He lived in Dakota Co Nebraska at the time. His two sons were also living there. Manley and my grandfather Frank. He survived the war and discharged on 9 months later to Omaha. Where he went after this I don't know. Any advice on where to find anything I would be grateful.
