Sara H. Cramer, 75, died Wednesday May 25, 2016 at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday June 28, 2016 at Maple Grove United Methodist Church in Waukee, IA where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial of the cremated remains will follow at Booneville Cemetery.
Sara was born in Des Moines, IA and grew up in Greenfield, IA before moving to Des Moines where she married John Cramer and lived most of her adult life in southeast Dallas County. In June 2015 Sara moved to Marietta, GA to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters. She worked for the phone company in Des Moines for 40 years before retiring to spend time with her husband and family. Sara loved flowers and was involved in a garden club in the Waukee area and loved to travel to visit gardens. Sara was a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church on Ashworth Road.
Sara is survived by her two children, son Richard Cramer of Van Meter, IA and daughter Ellen (Robert) Silva of Marietta, GA; grandson Hunter Cramer of Ankeny, IA, granddaughters Olivia and Caitlin Silva of Marietta, GA, brother Richard (Ann) Hoadley of Winterset, IA, sister Roberta Ehrenfried of Webster City, IA and numerous nieces and nephews. Sara was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years John Cramer, her parents Floyd and Stella Hoadley as well as her siblings Donald Hoadley, Jack Hoadley, Kenneth Hoadley, Eloise Smith, Ruth Lovell and Lona Teter.
