Vinton -- Lois McCaleb, recently commissioned a second lieutenant in the army nurses corps, it so report shortly at Camp Carson, Colorado Springs, Colo., to begin her training. A graduate of Vinton high school, Lieutenant McCaleb has been nursing in a Cedar Rapids hospital since completing nurses training. She is the daughter of Mrs. Homer Norberg of Shellsburg.

Men and Women in the Service of their Country
Lt. Lois M. McCaleb, of the army nurse corps has arrived from Fitzsimmons general hospital, Denver Colo, to spend a 10-day leave with her mother, Mrs. Marie Norberg, Shellsburg. Lt. McCaleb, who received her B.A. at Coe and trained at St Luke's hospital, has received a diploma in anesthesia at Fitzsimmons, where she returns at the end of her leave.
