Nov 19 - Jacomiah ALLEN born Licking Cty, Ohio on August 24 1831. He died at his home
in Duncombe on November 16, 1914. He was 83 years old. Buried at Blanchard Cemetery.
Jacomiah and his wife, Margaret M GOLER, had seven children.

May 18 - A man buried on the bank of the Des Moines River, south of Lehigh. He was 5 feet, 8 inches tall,
slim hands and feet, reddish hair, 140 -150 pounds. He was found by M.N.Reed and John Duckett. No identifing mark,
evidently in river 4 or 5 days. In the pocket of cassimere gray suit was a portion of a letter
written in Swedish which referred to a big dance and a fight that occurred, no address or names. Also contained
two cards of DM Hotel of Omaha, Nebraska and two blank envelopes from that hotel.
