It is lighted by gas and has an excellent water system. It contains 2 banks, Catholic, Presbyterian, Methodist Episcopal and Wesleyan Methodist churches, and a weekly newspaper, the Early News. Ry., 14 miles n. of Wall Lake, where the branch joins the main line, and on the C., M. & St. P. Ry., 45 miles w. of Fort Dodge, and 115 n. w. of Des Moines. Has Baptist, Catholic, Christian, Free Methodist, Methodist Episcopal. Protestant Episcopal and Presbyterian churches, excellent public schools, the Sac City Institute, an academy under the auspices of the Baptist church of Western Iowa, an opera house seating 600, 3 banks, a fine system of water works, an electric light plant and 2 weekly newspapers-the Sac County Bulletin and the Sac Sun.
