Roy was born on September 22, 1903, to William and Luvina (WATSON) BLUNCK, near Delphos. He died on September 6, 1972 [interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr]. Roy attended school and grew up in the Delphos area. He lived his adult life in Benton, working in road construction until 1936, when he was employed by Maloy and Dixon in livestock trucking. He was an ardent baseball fan and a Republican, serving as Waubonsie Republican committeeman.

Helen Margaret (REECE) BLUNCK was born at Xenia, Illinois on July 24, 1913 to Martin and Loula (ERNEST) REECE. She attended schools in the Bedford area and Mount Ayr High School.

On July 19, 1934, Roy and Helen BLUNCK were married in Grant City, Missouri. They made their home in Benton where they raised nine children: Jean, Bob, Virginia, Joann, Bill, Linda, Nancy, Judy, and Don.

Helen has been active in the Rebekah Lodge, P.T.A., church, community, and political activities. She was elected mayor of Benton in 1962, and continues to serve in that capacity. Her mother, Loula REECE, who celebrated her ninety-seventh birthday on December 29, 1985, makes her home with Helen.

Jean Louise (BEAL) DAVENPORT was born January 29, 1930, and graduated from Benton High School in 1947. She married Duane DAVENPORT in 1950, and they live in Aurora, Colorado. Their children are Denise Diane and Dan Duane. Denise was born November 18, 1952, and is married to Allen GLASS. Dan was born July 10, 1956, and is married to Wanda. Dan and Wanda have one son, Timothy, born October 11, 1980.

Robert Dean BLUNCK ws born June 19, 1936, and graduated from Benton High School in 1954. He Windfall, Indiana. Their children are: Robert Bently, Ronald Dean, Richard Allen, and Barbara Jo. Robert was born September 18, 1954, and is married to Brenda. They have one daughter, Brandie, born November 8, 1982. Ronald was born August 14, 1961, and is married to Julie. Richard was born August 12, 1962. Barbara was born February 24, 1965.

Virginia Ann (BLUNCK) REES was born November 3, 1937, and graduated from Benton High School in 1956. She married William REESE in 1956, and they live in Clinton, Iowa. Their children are: Debra Ann, William Jeffery, Warren Jay, and James Allen. Debra was born September 27, 1957, and is married to Mark EICKERT. They have one son, John William ANDERSON. William was born November 10, 1959. He has one daughter, Elizabeth, born December 9, 1981. Warren was born August 17, 1962. James was born August 19, 1964.

Margaret Joann (BLUNCK) TRULLINGER was born May 26, 1941. She married Robert TRULLINGER in 1959, and TRULLINGER, born March 23, 1961; Joan Lea TRULLINGER, born February 24, 1962; and Karen Kim (TRULLINGER) TIPPS, born March 19, 1965. Karen has two children: Brian, born May 21, 1983, and Kelly, born June 13, 1984.

William Martin BLUNCK was born July 26, 1943, and graduated from Mount Ayr Community High School in 1961. He married Kathleen LARSON in 1966, and they live in rural Benton. Their children are: Annette Michelle BLUNCK, born August 22, 1970, and William Martin BLUNCK II, born June 20, 1974.

Linda Lee (BLUNCK) SICKELS was born July 27, 1944, and graduated from Mount Ayr Community High School in 1962. She married Larry SICKELS in 1963, and they live in Kellerton. Their children are: Anthony Todd SICKELS, born September 16, 1963; Andrew Tadd SICKELS, born May 10, 1967; and Aaron Tedd, born July 31, 1968.

Nancy Ellen (BLUNCK) STEPHENS was born April 2, 1946, and graduated from Mount Ayr Community High School in 1964. She married David STEPHENS in 1965, and they live in rural Indianola. Their children are: Pamela Kay STEPHENS, born March 23, 1966, and Jill Marie STEPHENS, born May 29, 1968.

Judith Kay (BLUNCK) SNEDEKER was born May 27, 1947, and graduated from Mount Ayr Community High School in 1965. She married Donald SNEDEKER in 1968, and they live in Norwalk. They have one child, Eric Lee SNEDEKER, born July 14, 1974.

Donald Earl BLUNCK was born October 8, 1948, and graduated from Mount Ayr Community High School in 1966. He married Audrey FREUNDT in 1972, and they live in rural Indianola. Their children are: Christopher Donald BLUNCK, born February 15, 1979, and Valerie Kathleen BLUNCK, born July 28, 1980.
