AMERICAN LEGION AUXILLARY ORGANIZED

The Sibley American legion Auxillary was organized Tuesday evening at the court house. 11th District organizer Mrs.Amelia Cone of Sioux City, officiating in the organization exercises.bCaptain Paul Beardsley of Sioux City gave an eloquent and patriotic address.

At the close of the organization ceremonies the ladies served refreshments.

The officers elected are Mrs. C.W. Brown, president; Mrs.L. M. Polley, vice president; Mrs.L.D.Garberson, second vice president; Miss Blanche Hanon, secretary; Mrs. R. Frink, treasurer; Mrs. R.McNerny, chaplain; Mrs. Fred Carpenter, historian; Mrs. Harry J. Houstman, sergeant at arms. Executive committee: Mesdames Butler, Overholser, Weimerskirche, Shoemaker and Miss Dienema.

A county organization was effected with Mrs. [fold in paper unreadable] Sibley, secretary, and Mrs. Wentz, Allendorf, treasurer.

The Sibley auxillary voted a pledge of $? for disabled soldiers.

Visitors were present from Ocheyedan, Allendorf, and Little Rock.

The organization starts with a splendid membership and fine interest.
