Membership Changes
1989-90: Notre Dame, Cresco and Holy Cross Leo close. Garnavillo becomes an independent. Mar-Mac, North Winneshiek?? Conference disbands.
1987-88: Kee leaves for the Upper Iowa Conference. Membership decreases to 5.
1981-82: Holy Cross Leo joins. Membership increases to 6.
1980-81: Guttenberg leaves to help form the Mid-East Conference. Membership decreases to 5.
1973-74: St. George leaves. Membership decreases to 6.
1972-73: Notre Dame, Cresco, Mar-Mac, St. George, and Garnavillo of the Bi-State Conference; Guttenberg, Kee, and North Winneshiek re-organize the Upper Mississippi Conference. Membership is 7.

--NO LEAGUE 1970-71 thru 1971-72--
1970-71: South Winneshiek leaves for the Cedar-Wapsie Conference. Mar-Mac leaves for the Bi-State Conference. Guttenberg, Garnavillo, Kee?? Conference disbands.
1968-69: M-F-L leaves for the Upper Iowa Conference. Membership decreases to 5.
1967-68: Marquoketa Valley, East Buchanan, and Edgewood-Colesburg leave to help form the Tri-Rivers Conference. Starmont leaves. Membership decreases to 6.
1964-65: Conference beings sponsoring football.
1963-64: Strawberry Point consolidates with Arlington and Lamont to form Starmont. The new school remains in the conference. Membership remains at 10.
1962-63: Monona becomes M-F-L. East Buchanan joins from the AllAc Conference. Kee, Marquoketa Valley, and South Winneshiek join. Membership increases to 10.
1961-62: Edgewood and Colesburg consolidated to become Edgewood-Colesburg. Volga City leaves. Membership decreases to 6. 
1960-61: Luana and Waterville leave. Membership decreases to 8.
1957-58: Volga City joins. 
Membership increases to 10.
1954-55: Edgewood joins from the Delaware County Conference. Membership increases to 9.
1953-54: Strawberry Point joins. Membership increases to 8.
1952-53: Marquette and McGregor consolidate to form Mar-Mac. Colesburg and Waterville join. Membership increases to 7.
1950-51: Guttenberg, Garnavillo, Marquette Community, McGregor, Monona, and Luana form the Upper Mississippi Conference. Original membership is 6.
