The new school competes in the Mid-Iowa Conference. Northeast Hamilton, Gilbert, Alden, Radcliffe, and Hubbard leave for the Mid-Iowa Conference. Conference disbands. 1986-87: Union-Whitten is absorbed by B-C-L (Big Iowa Conference), which is renamed BCLUW. Membership decreases to 6. 1984-85: Dows leaves. Membership decreases to 7. 1964-65: Gilbert, Northeast Hamilton and Dows join. Gladbrook, Beaman-Conrad, and Wellsburg leave to help found the Mid-Iowa Conference. Membership remains at 8. 1963-64: NESCO joins. Membership increases to 8. 1960-61: Radcliffe, Union-Whitten, Hubbard, and Wellsburg of the Pine Lake Conference; Beaman-Conrad, Gladbrook, and Alden form the Iowa River Valley Conference.
