Membership Changes
2005-06: Ventura, C-W-L, WCLT, and Twin River Valley join the Cornbelt Conference. Northeast Hamilton, and CAL-Dows join the Iowa Star Conference. The league disbands.
2004-05: Alden consolidates with Iowa Falls (North Central Conference) to form Iowa Falls-Alden. The new school plays in the North Central Conference. Membership decreases to 6.
2003-04: Southeast Webster-Grand leaves for the Twin Lakes Conference. Membership decreases to 7.
2002-03: S-C-M-T leaves for the Corn Bowl Conference. Membership decreases to 8.
1996-97: CAL absorbs Dows to become CAL-Dows. Southeast Webster and joins from the Coon River Valley Conference. Membership remains at 9.
1995-96: Woden-Crystal Lake consolidates with Titonka to form WCLT. Membership remains at 9.
1990-91: Woden-Crystal Lake joins from the State Line Conference. Klemme consolidates with Belmond (North Iowa Conference) to form Belmond-Klemme. The new school competes in the North Iowa Conference. Membership remains at 9.
1989-90: Northeast Hamilton joins from the disbanding Mid-Iowa Conference. Twin Rivers consolidates with Gilmore City-Bradgate to form Twin River Valley. The new school remains in the conference. Membership increases to 9.
1988-89: Alden joins from the Mid-Iowa Conference. Meservey-Thornton and Sheffield-Chapin consolidate to become S-C-M-T. The new school remains in the conference. Kanawha leaves. Membership decreases to 8.
1987-88: Twin Rivers joins. Boone Valley closes. Membership remains at 9.
1986-87: Goldfield is absorbed by Clarion (North Central Conference). Membership decreases to 9.
1984-85: Dows rejoins from the Iowa River Valley Conference. Membership increases to 10.
1983-84: Corwith-Wesley and LuVerne consolidate to become C-W-L. Membership decreases to 9.
1971-72: Rockwell-Swaledale leaves. Membership decreases to 10.
1964-65: Dows leaves for the Iowa River Valley Conference. Membership decreases to 11.
1963-64: Sheffield consolidates with Chapin to form Sheffield-Chapin. The new school remains in the conference. Membership remains at 12.
1962-63: Fertile leaves. Meservey-Thornton joins. Franklin Consolidated consolidates with Alexander and Wisner Township to form CAL. The new school remains in the conference. Membership remains at 12.
1960-61: Corwith-Wesley, Lu Verne, Goldfield and Boone Valley join. Membership increases to 12.
1959-60: Rockwell consolidates with Swaledale to form Rockwell-Swaledale. Membership remains at 8.
1956-57: Kanawha joins. membership increases to 8.
1953-54: Fertile of the North Six Conference; Rockwell and Ventura of the disbanding Cerro Gordo Conference; Franklin Consolidated and Sheffield from the disbanding Franklin County Conference; Dows, and Klemme form the North Star Conference. Original membership is 7.
