Membership Changes

2008-09: All Maple Valley members (Battle Creek-Ida Grove, Galva-Holstein, Kingsley-Pierson, Lawton-Bronson, Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto, Odebolt-Arthur, Remsen-Union, River Valley, West Monona, Westwood, Whiting, and Woodbury Central) disband the conference and join with seven remaining Boyer Valley Conference members to form the Western Valley Activities Conference

1994-95: Anthon-Oto is absorbed by Maple Valley, which is renamed Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto. Membership decreases to 12.

1993-94: Anthon-Oto, Whiting, and Remsen-Union join from the disbanding Big West Conference. Membership increases to 13.

1991-92: Eastwood consolidates with Willow (Big West Conference) to form River Valley. Ida Grove consolidates with Battle Creek (Bo-Coon Conference) to form Battle Creek-Ida Grove. The new schools remain int he conference. Membership remains at 10.

1990-91: Eastwood joins from the disbanding Little Sioux Conference.

1980-81: Holstein becomes Galva-Holstein. Membership remains at 9.

1975-76: Lawton-Bronson joins from the Little Sioux Conference. Membership increases to 9.

1964-65: Correctionville leaves to help form the Little Sioux Conference. Membership decreases to 9.

1962-63: Kingsley consolidates with Pierson to form Kingsley-Pierson. Onawa consolidates with Onawa, Blencoe, and Turin to form West Monona. Moville consolidates with Climbing Hill to become Woodbury Central. Westwood joins. Ida Grove joins from the Midwest Conference. Marcus leaves to help form the War Eagle Conference. Battle Creek leaves for the Bo-Coon Conference. Membership remains is 10.

1961-62: Danbury is absorbed by Mapleton. Membership decreases to 10.

1959-60: Mapleton and Onawa join from the disbanding Western Iowa Conference. Anthon consolidates to form Anthon-Oto. Membership increases to 11.

1958-60: Galva leaves. Membership is 8.

1955-56: Anthon joins. Arthur is absorbed by Odebolt, which is renamed Odebolt-Arthur. Membership remains at 10.

1953-54: Marcus joins. Membership is 10.

1947-48: Correctionville and Moville join.

1939-48: Mapleton and Moville leave. Membership is 7 in 1947-48.

1937-39: Arthur and Mapleton join.

1936-37: Correctionville and Anthon leave. Membership decreases to 7.

1935-36: Ida Grove leaves for the Midwest Conference. Membership decreases to 9.

1934-35: Moville, Kingsley, and Anthon join. Membership increases to 10.

1931-32: Holstein, Correctionville, Odebolt, Galva, Battle Creek, Ida Grove, and Danbury form the Maple Valley Conference. Original membership is 7.
