L-D-F consolidates with SEMCO of the disbanding Ta-Ma-Ja Conference to form LDF-SEMCO. The new school remains in the conference. Membership increases to 8. 1988-89: BCLUW leaves for the North Iowa Cedar League. Dysart-Geneseo consolidates with LaPorte City (North Iowa Cedar League) to form Union, LaPorte City. The new school competes in the North Iowa Cedar League. L-D-F and GMG join from the Ta-Ma-Ja Conference. Membership is 7. 1986-87: Gladbrook and Reinbeck consolidate to form Gladbrook-Reinbeck. Wellsburg becomes Wellsburg-Steamboat Rock. B-C-L becomes BCLUW. Membership decreases to 7. 1977-78: Aplington, Parkersburg, and Allison-Bristow of the Big Marsh Conference; Dysart-Geneseo, Gladbrook, B-C-L, Reinbeck, and Wellsburg of the Mid-Iowa Conference form the Big Iowa Conference.
