Wesley Sovers

 

Wesley Sovers, Mrs. Kate Sovers' son, died in France October 6 of pneumonia, and her nephew, George Hynek of Oxford Junction, Ia., died of the same disease September 23.

Gold Star Hero to Rest

Another gold star hero, who died overseas, will be laid to rest in Johnson county soon. Wesley Sovers, who died across the ocean, will be buried, with military honors, at Solon, Sunday, November 6th. Iowa City Legionaires are urged by Lieut. Ed. L. O'Connor, commander of the Roy L. Chopek post, Iowa City, to attend the funeral of their ill-fated brother-in-arms. The Iowa City soldier boys are instructed to meet en masse at the Legion hall in Solon at 1 o'clock, that afternoon.
