Mary Greenwood was born on 9 NOV 1844 in Warren, Lake County, Illinois. Her family moved Charles City, Floyd County, Iowa, by the she was 12 years old. A few years after she married Nelson W. Emery, they relocated to Sibley, Osceola County, Iowa.
