Bristol, Tenn. – Gila Marie Clausen, 62, Bristol, Tenn., died Wednesday, March 18, 1992, in the Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol.

Gila Marie Clausen was born Feb. 5, 1930, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She attended schools in Duncombe, Iowa and graduated from Duncombe High School. She married Robert R. Braden Nov. 27, 1948. They lived in Sioux Falls and in Bristol for 14 years. Her husband died in 1984. She married John Maxfield May 9, 1990.

Survivors include her husband; a son Michael, West Milford, N.J.; two daughters: Patricia Jorgenson, Brookings; and Jeanne Zajac, Zion, Ill.; eight grandchildren; two brothers: Jacob Clausen, Long Beach, Calif.; and Clayton Clausen, De Funiak Springs, Fla.; seven sisters: Judy Brandt, Clarion, Iowa; Dorothy O'Brien, Belmond, Iowa; Marion Park, Webster City, Iowa; and Bea Brown, Mary Guthrie, Shirley Slama and Charlotte Bock, all of Fort Dodge, Iowa,

Services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Eagle Grove Iowa with burial in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield, Iowa. Kastler-Babcock Services, Eagle Grove, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements.

Gila Marie Clausen was born February 5, 1930, the daughter of Jacob Carl and Geraldine Anne Davis Clausen at Fort Dodge. She attended schools in Duncombe and graduated in 1947 from
Duncombe High School.

She was united in marriage to Robert R. Braden of Goldfield on November 27, 1948. The couple had lived in Sioux Falls, S.D., and for the past 14 years, in Bristol Tenn. Mr. Braden died in 1984. Mrs. Braden married John Maxfield of Bristol, Tenn., May 9, 1990.

She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Bristol.

Gila Marie Braden died at the Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tenn., March 18, 1992, at the age of 62 years, one month, and 13 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her first husband, Robert. She is survived by her husband, John Maxfield, Bristol, Tenn.; one son, Michael, West Milford, N J., two daughters, Patricia Jorgenson of Brookings, S.D.; and Jeanne Zajac of Zion, Ill.; seven sisters, Judy Brandt, Clarion; Dorothy O'Brien, Belmond; Marion Park of Webster City, Bea Brown, Mary Guthrie, Shirley Slama and Charlotte Bock all of Fort Dodge, two brothers, Jacob Clausen, Long Beach, Calif.; and Clayton Clausen, De Funiak Springs, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Beverly Braden, Hayward, Calif., and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 24 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Eagle Grove, with the Rev. Wayne Droessler officiating at the 10 a.m. services. Burial was in the Glenwood
Cemetery, Goldfield. Kastler-Babcock Services, Eagle Grove, was in charge of arrangements.
