Olga Marie Torgler Boehme

WATERLOO -- Olga M. Boehme, 80, Fort Dodge, formerly of Waterloo and Waverly, died Thursday, April 20, at the Marian Home, Fort Dodge, of natural causes. She was born Sept. 27, 1914, in Westgate, daughter of Fred and Martha Schroeder Torgler. She married Otto Boehme in 1935 in Redline; he died in 1967. Mrs. Boehme taught country school in Bremer County and later taught in Wright County for a number of years. She moved to Fort Dodge in 1972, where she attended Eagle Grove Community College, then graduated from Drake University in 1973. She taught German in the Fort Dodge area. Survived by: two daughters, Darlene Gutermuth of Storm Lake and Rosalie Eernisse of Fort Dodge; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a sister, Gertrude Staack of Waterloo. Preceded in death by: a brother. Services: were 3 p.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Gunderson Funeral Home, Fort Dodge, was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: may be directed to the family.
