By the way, you should reread the response provided by Sarah Thorson Little to your query in June of 2020 where she addresses, in detail, the family dynamics, dates, and people. Here's the link: https://iagenweb.org/boards/woodbury/queries/index.cgi?read=693352 It will give you clues as to where to dig further, such as going to Dakota City, Nebraska to get Lula's first (Anderson) marriage license and South Sioux City, Nebraska to get Lula's second (King) marriage license. You'll also see that Carl remarried in Ohio.

As well, I did find a "Find a Grave" link to Adolph Haupt and wife Nettie Hitchcock Haupt, who are mentioned in Sarah's response as the parents of Dorothy Lula (or Lula Dorothy) Haupt Anderson King. Lula Dorothy (or Dorothy Lula) died in California, which is where her parents died. Here is the link to this "Find a Grave" listing: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/137989792/adolph_albert-haupt

If you click on the link for the son (and brother of Lula Dorothy), Harry Howard Haupt, you will see that he is buried in Sioux City.
