Soren Martinson, 82, former resident of Sioux City, died, at Lake Norden, S. D., Monday the result of a heart attack. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Mr. Martinson was born in Denmark, June 4, 1864, and came to the United States in 1903. He lived in South Dakota but later returned to Sioux City. Twenty years ago, he returned to South Dakota and has lived there since.

Survivors include the widow, Marie; one son, Harry of Wadsworth, Kan., and four daughters, William Thieson and Mrs. Fred Sommermyer, both of Sioux City; Mrs. Carl Anderson, Lake Worth, Fla., and Esther of Minneapolis.

Fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
