19 September 1946P. Wayne Riedesel, 53, a former Sioux City resident, died Wednesday at his home in Waysata, Minn., after a heart attack.
He was born March 14, 1893, at Oto, Ia. He attended Drake University and Iowa State college and was graduated as a civil engineer in 1916.
Mr. Riedesel came here the same year and was county engineer and later was with the Iowa highway commission. He moved Minnesota in 1924 and was employed by the state board, of health.
He was a member of the Smithland Masonic lodge and Sioux City Consistory 5.
Survivors are the widow, Esther, formerly Esther Nelson of Sioux City; a daughter, Mrs. Waynette Wing, Excelsior, Minn., his mother, Mrs. P. G. Riedesel, Sioux City; two brothers, Marc O. Riedesel, Sioux City, and H. A. Riedesel, Rockford, Ill., and two sisters, Miss Lea and Mrs. S. T. Carlson, both of Des Moines.
Mrs. Riedesel is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. Nelson of Sioux City. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson, Mr.
and Mrs. A. L. Berger and Marc O. Riedesel left Wednesday to attend the funeral.Funeral services will be held Friday at Waysata after which body will be brought here to the Nelson-Berger funeral home where it, will be until 3:30 p. Saturday. Graveside funeral services will be held at 4 p. m. in Graceland Park cemetery. Rev. Walter A. Voss will officiate here.
