The funeral of Owen E. McGuire, 81, who died Saturday night at his home, 312 Center, street, after an illness of several years, will be held at 2 p. Wednesday in the Heege funeral home at Independence, la.

Mr. McGuire was born May 29, 1865, in Jefferson, Ia. He had resided here the last four years.

Survivors include the widow, Edna; two sons, Daniel and James, both of Independence; six daughters, Mrs. Axel Larsen, Hinckley, Minn., Mrs. Rudolph Bergiman, Minot, N. D., Mrs. Roy Sprague, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Asher Craig, Park Rapids, Minn., Mrs. John Druger, Sioux City, and Mrs. Edward Jurgenson, Anthon; 29 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Rose
Evenson, Los Angeles. A daughter, Mrs. Mary Leikness, died in October, 1938, at Minot.

The body was sent to Independence from an Anthon funeral home.
