Mrs. Frank S. Lane, 1871 - 1946

Mrs. Frank S. Lane, 75, 3241 Garretson Avenue, a Sioux Cityan since 1915, died Monday at her home after a long illness.

Mrs. Lane was born July 4, 1871, at Pittsville, Wis. She resided there until the age of 23. Only July 4, 1893, she was married to Mr. Lane after which they went to Linn Grove, Ia., where to he was editor of the Independent.

In 1895 they went to Meridan, Ia., where Mr. Lane was editor of the Friday Evening Post. In 1915 they came to Sioux City. Mr. Lane died June 30, 1943. A son, John S., died July 1, 1945.

Mrs. Lane was a member of Westminster Presbyterian church, and Paradise Rebekah lodge 265.

Survivors are four sons, Raymond and J. K., both of Sioux City; Martin G., of Cleveland, O., and Warren W. of Houston, Tex.; three daughters, Miss Katherine of Sioux City, Mrs. Everett Hoyt of Hastings, Neb., and Mrs. George Roberts, of Washta, Ia.; a sister, Mrs. Kate Mutter of Bellingham, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 p, m. Thursday in Westminster Presbyterian church with Rev. Allan McColl officiating.

Burial will be in Graceland Park under direction of the W. Harry Christy funeral home.
