Cheyenne Marie Stapleton, 9- year-old daughter of Lori Lynn Stapleton of Sioux City, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with Dr. Allen Call of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery Allen, Neb. Visitation will be 3 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present 7 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Cheyenne was born May 28, 1991, in Sioux City. She had lived in Ponca, Neb., for more than three years before moving with her family to Sioux City. She attended Sioux City Public Schools for two years.

She enjoyed music and participated in the Battens Disease Organization.

Survivors include her mother; a brother, Brant Stapleton of Sioux City; maternal grandmother, Violet Stapleton of Ponca; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Dave Bailey, Craig Beaubien, Gerry Stowers, Doug Leitz, Steve Lawrey and Gary Voss.
