Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Wessling, 80, a Danbury resident for about 60 years who died Thursday at an Ida Grove hospital after a -week of illness, will be at 9:30 a. m. today at St. Mary Catholic church in Danbury. Burial will be in a Danbury cemetery under direction of the Fitzpatrick funeral home.

Mrs. Wessling was born January 1, 1873, at Galena, Ill. Her husband died in 1926.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Lena Kueny of Lynwood, Cal., Mrs. Mae Boeckman of Breda, la., and Miss Gertrude Wessling, also of Lynwood; five sons, Clem, Norbert and Paul all of Danbury, Joseph of Mapleton, John of Lynwood; a sister, Mrs. Mary Lucke of Albany, N, Y.; and two brothers, John Knobbe of Carroll, la., and Henry Knobbe of Breda, la.

BREDA — Mrs. Anna Wessling of Danbury, mother of Mrs. Ben Boeckman of Breda, died April 8, at the hospital at Ida Grove. She had been ill about six weeks.

Mrs. Wessling, former Breda resident, was born at Galena, Ill., January 18, 1874. A daughter of the late Mr, and Mrs. Clem Knobbe, early settlers of this community, she came here with her parents when she was a small girl, She was married Feb. 21, 1892, to John Wessling at St, Bernard's church, Breda. Her husband died April 12, 1926.

Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Tena Kuenz and Gertrude Wessling, Lynwood, Calif.; Mrs. Ben (Mae) Boeckman, Breda; five sons, Clem, Norbert and Paul Wessling, Danbury; Joseph Wessling, Mapleton; John Bernie Wessling, Lynwood, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, two half-brothers, Henry Knobbe, Breda and John Knobbe, Carroll and one half-sister, Mrs. Henry (Mary) Lueke, Alden, N. Y.

She was preceded in death by half-brothers, Joe Clem and Tony Knobbe, a half sister (Mrs. Lueke), a step-brother Ben Kline and stepsister, Mrs. Anna Pittman.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary's church at Danbury at 9:30 Saturday morning. Celebrant of the solemn requiem was a nephew, Fr, Clemens Knobbe of Manson, Fr. George Wessling, Auburn, a brother-in-law, was deacon. Fr. Raymond Calkins, sub-deacon and Fr. Sylvester Grady, master of ceremonies. Fr. Wessling officiated at the services at the graveside.

Pallbearers were: Bernard, Herman, Lawrence, George, Elmer and Leo Wessling.

Relatives and friends from Breda and vicinity at the rites were: Mr. and Mrs. Ben Boeckman, Mark Knobbe, Henry Knobbe, Mra. Rose Knobbe, Mrs. Frances Knobbe, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wessling, Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Tiefenthaler and daughter, Almyra, Mr. and Mrs. August Boeckman, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nieland, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Wempe, Henry Naberhaus, Breda; John Knobbe, Roy Knobbe, Mr. and Mrs. Gale Schafer, Mrs. Mary Wessling and Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Wessling, Carroll; Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Wessling, Dedham; Mr. and Mrs. Norville Steinkamp, Storm Lake and Paul Tiefenthaler, Wall Lake.
