Three weeks ago she was taken to La Crosse where she underwent an operation at the St. Francis hospital for appendicitis, and seemed to be recovering nicely, and came home a week ago, but last Friday she became ill and Sunday evening three doctors were called and another operation was performed but she passed away soon after. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community in their sorrow.

OBITUARY—Audry Ward was born Oct. 16, 1899, at Burr Oak, and passed away at her home two miles west of Burr Oak, April 15, at the age of 17 years, 5 months and 29 days. On March 29 she was taken to the St. Francis hospital at La Crosse where she underwent an operation for appendicitis. She returned home April 7 and was getting along nicely until April 13 when she was suddenly taken worse, but her condition was not considered serious until Sunday afternoon when Dr. Dahl was summoned and pronounced her case hopeless. Her sudden death was a shock to the entire community. Audry was a sweet and lovable girl and will be greatly missed by her father, mother, two brothers Paul and Rex and sister Dorothy, her many relatives and a host of friends. Our hearts go out to the family in this sad hour of bereavement. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from the M. E. church, conducted by Rev. Edie.
We wish to thank the many kind friends and neighbors for their assistance, sympathy and the many beautiful flowers at the death of our loved one.
