Mrs. Elmer Rosa received the sad news Thursday of the death of her father Joe Weitgenant, who died at the St. Francis hospital at La Crosse.

The remains of Joe Weitgenant of Ossian were laid to rest in the Centennial cemetery Sunday. The funeral was held in Ossian.

On Thursday at St. Francis hospital, La Crosse, occurred the death of Joe Weitgenant. The funeral was held from the home at 1:30 o’clock on Sunday, Rev. Supplee officiating. The interment was at Centennial. The deceased leaves to mourn a wife and two sons, Joe of Cartersville and Chas. of Rice, Minn., and a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Rosa of Ossian. Those from out of town who attended were Mr. and Mrs. J. Vance, Cresco, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Banning and son of Fayette, Mr. and Mrs. H. Logsdon and son, and Mr. Rand and John Williams of Decorah, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Riggs, M. P. Riggs, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Harvey, of Castalia.- -
- Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Weitgenant and daughter came from Rice, Minn., called by the death of the former’s father.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Jan. 29, 1845 and died Apr. 12, 1917. He is buried in the Centennial Cemetery
