OBiTUARY- Herman F. Becker died Monday, April 9, at 12:30 o’clock. Mr. Becker was formerly a resident of West Union and has been for the past year a harness marker here. Mr. Becker was a traveling salesman for several years, but was forced to give up this work on account of ill health. He was 36 years old. The deceased was married 10 years ago to Miss Ella Hughes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burrows Hughes of Little Port. There were four children born, one dying in infancy two weeks ago. Services were held here at his home on Tuesday and in the afternoon Mrs. Becker accompanied by her two brothers-in-law left with the body for Little Port where the funeral was held Wednesday from the home of Burrows Hughes. The body was interred in the Union cemetery ther{e}. The many friends extend sympathy to Mrs. Becker and children in their bereavement.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born July 9, 1881 and died Apr. 9, 1917. He is buried in the Union Cemetery in Littleport in Clayton County.
