Devore, Charles Lewis, 52, of Seymour has died (2001). He was born January 12, 1940, in Appanose County, the son of Robert and Thelma (Youst) DeVore. Surviviors include his father, 4 brothers, Robert and his wife, Wortha, of Promise City, Wendell and his wife Janet, of Plano, Rex of Seymour and Cary and his wife Brenda, of Promise City; 5 sisters, Burneta Sales and her husband, Don, and Bernice Houser and her husband, Don all of Cincinnati, Blanche (Jackie) Lindsey and Ruby Garza and her husband, Gilbert, all of Lubbock, Texas and Louise Maiers and her husband, Mike, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. His mother and grandparents preceded him in death. He lived his entire life in Appanoose and Wayne counties. He attended Seymour Community School and the Jerome Methodist Church. Graveside services were held Saturday at the Jones Cemetery with Pastor Donnel Logsdon officiating. Memorials were given to the Appanoose County Humane Society. Randolph Funeral Home in Seymour was in charge of the arrangements.
