Davis, John Ned; 61, of Confidence was born in Columbia (Missouri) on December 22, 1941 and passed awway at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines on March 11, 2003. He was the son of Handy Clifford and Elsie Blanche (King) Davis. John work for Lowell and Merilyn Frame on their farm for 38 years. He attended Brushy Church and the Confidence Baptist Church. John was a member of the National Trappers Association, National Rifle Association and the Corydon Coyote Hunters. His parents and daughter, Jennifer Lynn, preceded him in death. Survivors to cherish his memory include his son Bill Davis and his wife, Laurie of Centerville; daughters, Cindy Utterback and her husband, Randy, of Moulton and Kathy Davis of Centerville; 5 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; brothers, Fred Davis and his wife, Wauneta, of Newton; Glen Davis and his wife, Dianne of Albia; Paul Davis and his wife, Alice, of Albia; sisters, Ada Mae Barnes of Albia; Ina Hartman and her husband, Raymond of Ottumwa and Eva Kabler and husband, Donnie, of Nelson, Missouri and special friend Susan Moore. Funeral services were held at the Randolph Funeral Home in Corydon with Pastor John Van Weelden officiating. Burial was in Confidence Cemetery.
