Cherryholmes, Richard Dale, 44, of Moulton, died Monday, October 23, 1995, at the Wayne County Hospital in Corydon from injuries sustained in an accident north of Corydon. He was born September 21, 1951, in Centerville, the son of Dale and Imogene (Rollins) Cherryholmes. He was married to Donna Spurgeon of Moulton. She survives. Also surviving are his parents: 3 daughters, Kristina Sloan and her husband, Brian and Karla Cherryholmes, all of Sewal and Kerri Cherryholmes of Moulton; a step-daughter Michelle Spurgeon of Moulton; 2 step-sons, Jason Spurgeon and David Spurgeon of Moulton; a sister, Kahala Johnson of Centerville; and a grandson. An infant daughter, Kim Cherryholmes, and his paternal grandparents preceded him in death. He graduated from Seymour High School in 1969 and was a 1971 graduate of Indian Hills Community College in Centerville. He farmed for the last 26 years and was a member of the Sewal United Methodist Church. Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 25, 1995, at the Schmidt-Duley Funeral Home in Centerville with the Rev. Sam Reeves officiating. Burial was in the Southlawn Cemetery in Seymour. A memorial was established.
