Frank Barton

Frank A. Barton, 81, a resident of Burlington Medical Center's Klein Unit and formerly of Keosauqua, died at 2:20 a.m. Friday, May 14, 1993, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born September 18, 1911, at Wendell, Idaho, he was the son of Burton and Mary Best Barton. He married Cleo Orris on July 9, 1938, at Reno, Nevada.

He grew up in Idaho and lived in Twin Falls, Idaho and lived in Twin Falls, Idaho, until entering the Marine Corps, serving during World War II. He and his wife lived in the Keosauqua in the Keosauqua community for 18 years before they moved into the Klein Unit in Burlington.

Mr. Barton was a postal supervisor, working in the post office in Washington, D.C., before he retired. He had lived in Falls Church, Virginia for fifteen years.

Survivors include his wife, and a sister, Kathleen Hall of Boise, Idaho.

A memorial service for Mr. Barton was held Tuesday, May 18, at the Klein Unit Chapel, the Reverend Shirley Bliven officiated. Following cremation, interment of the ashes will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield.

Raymond Funeral Home, Fairfield, was in charge of arrangements.
