Naomi L. Johnson, 72, of Keosauqua died at 7:30 p.m. May 1, 1993, at her home.
She was born Oct. 21, 1920, near Stockport to Carl and Martha Standley Watson. She married Max I. Johnson on Nov. 7, 1939, in Kahoka, Mo.; he died Sept. 13, 1983.
She was a graduate of Stockport High School and she and her husband farmed in the Stockport-Hillsboro area until moving to Keosauqua in 1980. She was a member of Stockport United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Stanley and his wife, Judy, of Hillsboro, Gary and his wife, Vicki, of Ottumwa and Charles and his wife, Linda, Manitou Springs, Colo; two daughters, Patricia Anderson and her husband, Ron, Seymour, Ind., and Judith Barnett and her husband, Jack, Manitou Springs, Colo.; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dewey Watson of Stockport.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Marshall Watson and a sister, Myrtle Watson.
The service was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 1993, at Stockport United Methodist Church, the Revs. Sara Malone and Gale Hawhee officiating. Burial was in Hillsboro Cemetery.
Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made toward the establishment of a Van Buren County Hospice and may be left at the Funeral home.
