Phil Sherman

Phil Sherman, Pulaski, died at 7:35 a.m. today at the Bloomfield Care Center.

A farmer, he was born Feb. 23, 1911 in Jefferson County to Archie and Mayme Pearson Sherman. He was a resident of the Pulaski and Milton areas most of his life. He was a member of the Pulaski Mennonite Church.

He married Edith Cowles on Sept. 3, 1933 in Pulaski. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, William of Pulaski; one daughter, Karen Wisbey of Arlington Heights, Ill.; one brother, Ralph Sherman of Stronghurst, Ill.; four sisters, Lena Walker of Bloomfield, Nellie Diers of Macomb, Ill., Dorothy Norton of Mt. Pleasant, and Virginia Winters of Peoria, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services are pending at the Wagler Funeral Home.
