REV. O. G. JUKAM DIED MONDAY

Old Former Resident of Story City Passed Away in Minneapolis

Rev. O. G. Jukam died at his home in Minneapolis, Minn., last Monday. The remains have been brought to Story City and the funeral services will be held in the St. Petri church at 1:30 tomorrow (Friday).

Rev. Jukam was something over 80 years of age. He had been for a long time a pastor in the Norwegian Lutheran Synod. His earlier ministry was in Clinton Co. During the summer of 1879 he filled Rev. Jacobson's pulpit in Roland while the latter made a trip to Norway and in 1880 he performed a like service for Rev. Amlund in Story City. From 1881 to 1899 he served in eastern Wisconsin, but ill health finally compelled him to retire from the active ministry. His latter years were spent with his children in Minneapolis.

His wife was a sister of Mrs. Jacob Jorgenson of this place. She preceded her husband to the better land in 1904 and was buried in the Story City cemetery, where Rev. Jukam's remains will be interred.
